Hi! I’m Charity Rakestraw. I’m a creative thinker 🧠, who loves solving puzzles 🧩, and finding innovative ways to teach and to learn 🎓. I started my career as a historian of American religion and have spent countless hours sifting through dusty papers in archives to share the stories and perspectives of previous generations.

Although my first love is the study of the past, I’ve always had a fascination with the future and a knack for technology. I’ve spent over twenty years in higher ed, with teaching experience in physical and online classrooms. With over a decade of leadership in online education–training and coaching teams, and designing and developing team-taught courses–I have reached hundreds of thousands of learners. Give me a topic, and I’ll build a course around it that is informative, relevant, and exciting.
